Rising Stars Course (Teenagers)

This 7 week course has been designed specifically with adolescent dogs and their guardians in mind.

The point at which your puppy moves into their adolescent stage will vary. Usually, it begins around 5-6 months of age and ends between 18 - 24 months when they become adults. As a guide, smaller breeds generally start & end earlier than larger breeds but it is important you deal with the dog in front of you.

Adolescence can be a hugely challenging time for both dogs and their guardians.  It can bring with it more boisterous (often deemed naughty or wilful) behaviour, often making guardians feel as though many things they have worked on with their dog have significantly deteriorated.  Other dogs may exhibit fear, anxiety or a lack of confidence. There will be a lot going on for your dog physically, mentally and emotionally, and it's important not to label them as stubborn or dominant. They're not. They need your support during this time more than ever.

Our Rising Stars course can help you and your dog through this minefield.  Not only will it continue their training in the best and most productive way for the adolescent brain, tackling the common problems that guardians face, but it will also help you understand the adolescent and young adult phase that your dog will be going through.
